High School State Testing, scheduled for week of May 9

To the Parents of the 2016 Graduates:

Graduation is Saturday, May 21, at 10:00 a.m. on the football field.  In case of rain, it will be moved to the gym.

If a Senior received a scholarship and would like for it to be in the program, please send the student's name, amount, name of the scholarship, and what school it is from to Bob Wingo by Tuesday, May 4th.

FEES:   Graduation fee is $65.00 and is DUE BY THE WEEK OF EXAMS.  This covers cap, gown, and diploma.  Students can keep the cap and tassel, but must turn in the gown.

            Seniors may purchase club stoles for $20.00.

            Seniors receiving honors and special honors need to purchase an Honor Cord for $15.00.

ANY SENIOR OWING A FINE MUST PAY IT BEFORE S/HE CAN GET THE CAP AND GOWN.  (I.E. - CLUB, CAFETERIA, CLASS, TEACHER, ETC.)

 

BACCALAUREATE SERVICE:  This is a Sunday in May before Seniors graduate.  Seniors will need caps and gowns for this service.

GRADUATION INSTRUCTIONS:

PRACTICE:       Seniors meet in the gym at 8:00 a.m. the morning of May 20th.

                        Bring your cap, gown, and club stoles/honor cords (if you bought them).

Group and individual pictures will be made at practice so bring money if you want to buy individual pictures.

                        Honors and Special Honors pictures will also be made.

 

PROPER DRESS FOR GRADUATION:

            GIRLS:  Sunday dress with dress shoes.  NO flip flops, or tennis shoes.

BOYS:  White dress shirt with a collar (button up), a tie (any color), and dress pants.  NO flip flops, tennis shoes, or work boots.

BOYS AND GIRLS:  You cannot mark your caps and/or gowns with anything!  (No glitter, no monogramming, nothing!)  You must dress as listed!  NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

CEREMONY:    Graduation begins at 10:00 a.m.

                        Seniors will report at 8:00 a.m. to assigned rooms.

PARENTS/FRIENDS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.

                        Do not leave money in rooms.

                        Seniors begin to march in at 9:55 a.m.

 

AFTER CEREMONY:    Graduates will not march out!

                                    All Seniors who received awards need to stay on the field for pictures.

All Seniors need to return to Mr. Hill's room to turn in the gown.  You get to keep the cap, tassel, stole and honor cords (if you have any) AND pick up Senior packets.

Top of PageMake-up Snow Day
The make-up snow day will be May 23.  This will be the last day of school and a 60% day for students.  Friday, May 20 will now be a full day.

Professional development will be moved from May 23 to May 24.

Tutorial will begin August 24. Students need to be in the tutorial classroom by 3:15.  Students must be picked up at 4:00.
